About Us
I have been a lifelong artist with a doctorate in Drawing & Painting residing in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. I have lectured and taught for more than 31 years now.My paintings are inspired by Wildlife and the appreciation for nature. The pieces carry many superb species of wildlife, which stimulated my love for conservation. Paintings are done in oil paints with traditional techniques including wet-on-wet and dry – brush blending, scumbling and glazing. They bring out the beauty of the light, colours, textures and patterns which are found in nature and potray aspects of the natural world in a positive and effective way that reveals a deep understanding of the environment.
Working Experience
• Worked as a 'Honorary Lecturer' (Drawing & Painting) Department at D.G. Degree College Kanpur, India from 1980 to 1986.• Worked as 'Head of Department' (Drawing & Painting) at Sheiling House School, Kanpur, India from 1987 to 2013.
Achievements
• Painting exhibition at “Z-Square Mall” Kanpur in July 2013.• Solo Exhibition “CONSERVARE” at Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi in November 2014.
• Participated in a Group Show at “Artizen gallery”, New Delhi in February 2015 and was awarded a “Gold Medal” in “Agnipath” All India Art competition.
• Participated in a group show at Agnipath “ in May, 2015.
• Group show of ‘Contemporary artist presented by “The Art Rays” at the Nehru centre, Indian High Commission in London in September 2015
• Group exhibition by Uchaan Arts in October 2015
• Group exhibition by Social Circle at Delhi International Film Festival in December 2015.
• Won ‘Gold Medal’ at Agnipath All India Art Competition and exhibition in New Delhi in February 2016.
• Participated in National Art Exhibition at JMI University, New Delhi in April 2016.
• Participated at Global Film Festival in GFFN at Marwah Studio Complex, Noida in 2016.
• Participated in group art exhibition, organized by ‘Sambhav Arts at AIFACS’ Art Gallery , New Delhi in January 2017.
• Participated in group art exhibition at ‘Gari Art Gallery’ New Delhi organized by Srijanlok Art Foundation in 2018.
• Participated in National Art Exhibition, ‘Virasat’ at AMU Aligarh in Feb.2018.
• Have been appointed as Vice President , Uttar Pradesh and Co-ordinator Kanpur region at Srijanlok Art foundation in July 2018
